Research talk: CitizenEndo: Patient-centered endometriosis research
Endometriosis is an enigmatic condition, estimated to affect 10 percent of women of reproductive age. There is a dearth of data about the disease, and the current biomedical characterization does not align with patients’ symptoms. In this talk, we’ll cover the CitizenEndo project, whose goal is to engage patients in endometriosis research. We’ll also discuss the self-tracking app, Phendo, share our design process, and explain the data analysis and validation strategies we’re using to phenotype this disease.
