I am a Principal Applied Research Scientist in E+D studying developer wellbeing and productivity. Currently I am working with the Human Empathy and Understanding (HUE) lab studying tech worker wellbeing, stress and work life balance.
I received my PhD in Computer Science from Western University in Canada in 2015. My work examined cancer simulation using cellular automata with a focus on the Hallmarks of Cancer and combination therapy. I have always been interested in interdisciplinary studies and the intersection of different fields – such as biology and computer science, social science and technology, etc.
My work now looks at developer productivity with a focus on the human element in software engineering. I am interested in individual and team well-being, decision making within an organization, relationships between engineering disciplines, and diversity in engineering organizations.
