Hannes Schulz

Hannes is a researcher at Microsoft Research Montreal, working with the dialogue group. He joined the lab in late 2015 and his work focuses on data-driven approaches for natural language understanding and state tracking in dialogue systems.

Hannes holds a PhD from the University of Bonn, Germany, supervised by Prof. Sven Behnke. In Bonn, Hannes worked on object class segmentation with deep neural networks and random forests in a robotics context, as well as restricted Boltzmann machines.
