ACTS and HMX.ai partnership evolves

Driving progress with AI-powered solutions for governments.

In 2020, Microsoft embarked on a groundbreaking journey with the launch of ACTS, our Advanced Cloud Transparency Services initiative, to mobilize the power of data and technology to help governments accelerate transparency. We understood from the outset that forging strategic partnerships would be pivotal to propel our mission forward.

A shared vision

One such partnership, with HMX.ai, epitomizes this vision. Their expertise in pairing human and machine intelligence, coupled with their deep knowledge of AI engineering, positions them as an ideal partner for ACTS. With HMX.ai, we’re developing capabilities that can be applied to multiple use cases.

Together, we’re pioneering a new era of collaboration. Grounded by a commitment to build AI responsibly, we are dedicated to developing solutions that meet the transparency needs of governments as they evolve.

The developers at HMX.ai bring in-depth knowledge of AI engineering, which supports our goal of developing scalable solutions for our customers. “HMX.ai developers have the technical knowledge to assist with what ACTS is trying to achieve, and then put it into action,” says Norm Hodne, Senior Director at Microsoft ACTS.

A functioning methodology leads to better outcomes

While our shared vision lays the foundation for our partnership, our mutual commitment to an iterative methodology has expedited our progress.

HMX.ai channels their decades of AI expertise and works closely with ACTS to research, test, and repeat processes with a solutions-oriented approach. Once solutions are put into place, the partners work with the customer long term on operational elements and then adjust the approach as needed. This process allows ACTS to offer better solutions for our government customers so they can achieve their intended impact.

“HMX.ai has a methodology that’s been successful,” Hodne says. “They know about mitigating risks and getting business results based upon risk signals, which is what we want to drive with ACTS. HMX.ai and ACTS were easily simpatico, talking the same language from the start. Because of that, we could easily continue to move forward.”
