RIC: Project Administration Centre

The Research Information Centre (RIC) is a Microsoft Research sponsored project which facilitates research management by universities and other learning institutions using Microsoft technology. RIC improves research effectiveness through a comprehensive range of features aimed at storing and sharing information, and allowing researchers to work together effectively.

RIC supports research by providing feature-rich virtual collaborative spaces for project sites. Researchers can request new project sites and users which are provisioned by the project administration, or PAC administrator, who also adminstrates the system.

This tutorial is aimed at new users of the PAC and demonstrates the breadth of PAC functions as well as showing in detail how to achieve each functional task. We also show briefly how the system can be extended.
