Microsoft Soundscape: Heads-up and hands-free experiences for everyone
Microsoft Soundscape uses 3D spatial audio to help people understand their surroundings. From its original goal of empowering people with sight loss to be more independent, Soundscape has grown to provide richer and more immersive experiences for anyone. Soundscape turns a headset into an audio display–like a map augmented with 3D sound. It can also work in the background, providing heads-up, hands-free ambient awareness.
Join Soundscape inventors Amos Miller and Jarnail Chudge to learn how it works and the many ways in which people are using it every day.
Together, we’ll explore:
- What Soundscape is and how it works
- How it started and what we learned along the way
- What users and customers are doing with Soundscape
- What’s next for Soundscape & what the future holds
