Data Science Summer School 2016 – Fare Share: Flow and Efficiency in NYC’s Taxi System

In this talk we use data on every NYC taxi pickup and drop-off in 2013 to understand how people move throughout the city, how much skill is involved in driving a taxi, and how much carpooling can benefit the taxi system.
