We explore the use of the Ludic Design methodology to address two critical needs of the deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) community. We explore the use of the Ludic Design methodology to address two critical needs of the deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) community. First, address the linguistic deficit of the DHH community and help learn English as a second language and second, address the shortage of ISL speakers and interpreters among the hearing community by helping them learn ISL. A third objective is the collection of labelled continuous sign language data to contribute towards automated translation of sign language into text and the generation of sign language from text. This project explores the creation of diverse mobile games that allows for inclusive play, that is agnostic to the players first language, ranging from any of the spoken languages to any of the Sign Languages that are in use around the world.
