Victor Fragoso is a researcher in the Computer Vision group of Cognition at Cloud + AI in Redmond. Victor’s research interest are in computer vision, machine learning, and augmented reality. He received a PhD degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in December 2014, where he worked with Prof. Matthew Turk. Before joining Microsoft, Victor was an assistant professor at West Virginia University from Summer 2015 to May 2019, where his research was funded by the NSF and NASA. Victor also was a visiting professor in the Robotics Institute at CMU in Summer 2017. Victor has been a proactive reviewer for top conferences and journals in computer vision and machine learning (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, TPAMI, TIP, NIPS, and JMLR, among others). Victor is currently developing computer vision technologies to empower the HoloLens platform.
