I am a Product Manager on Azure Media Services, working on content provenance and video-on-demand. Provenance establishes content authenticity and history to address deepfakes and disinformation. This project is pursued and defined by the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) (opens in new tab), a partnership by Adobe, ARM, the BBC, Intel, Microsoft and others with the goal of establishing a technical specification as guidance. Media Services is applying the C2PA technical specification and offering a first industry solution for adding provenance to video/audio content.
