Group Introduction:

MSR AI4Science Lab is on the cusp of a new frontier in which machine learning and artificial intelligence are transforming scientific discovery. We seek to drive major advances in sciences with machine learning, with a focus on ‘fifth paradigm’ scenarios. Through these advances, we aim to empower real-world impact on some of the most pressing problems facing society including climate change, green energy, sustainable materials, and the discovery of new drugs. AI4Science is a new global team in Microsoft Research focusing on the opportunity to transform scientific modelling and discovery through large-scale deep learning.  We aim to advance this frontier and to drive real-world impact at a global scale. The AI4Science team encompasses multiple disciplines across machine learning, engineering, and the natural sciences and spans several geographical sites in Europe, Asia, and the US.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in the research and development of deep learning methods for quantum chemistry
  2. Conduct model optimization, and deployment & improve existing code and optimize performance to enhance the current model.
  1. Investigate open-source tools for profiling jax programs and develop profiler for GPU-based jax models

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Math, or other related fields with strong academic record
  1. Excellent programming skills and relevant deep learning project experience.
  2. Quick learning ability and having interests in exploring the application of deep learning in scientific problems
  3. Proficiency in using English as a working language.
  4. Strong communication skills and team collaboration spirit.
  5. Written consent from your university or academic advisor.

Internship Duration Requirements:

Must obtain permission from your academic advisor and commit to at least three months of internship.

  3. 快速学习能力与对深度学习在科学中的应用有兴趣
  4. 可以熟练使用英文作为工作语言
  5. 具有良好的沟通能力和团队协作精神
  6. 能得到学校/导师的书面同意

工作时间要求：

能获得导师许可并保证至少三个月的实习。
